Warranty
Home and Timber guarantees its products to be free from defects of workmanship for a period of two years from the date of purchase by the original customer. If a defect occurs during this period, we will repair or replace the item or substitute a like item. The final decision is at the discretion of Home and Timber.
Due to the environment and relative humidity your furniture is placed in, wood will sometimes expand and shrink. Our builders take great care when crafting our furniture to allow for the wood to shrink and expand. Under rare circumstances and drastic temperature changes or very low or very high humidity, seasonal cracks and seasonal gapping may sometimes appear. These symptoms are the result of an uncontrolled environment and are not considered defective. If the environment is not controlled these conditions should be appreciated as inherent characteristics of solid wood furniture.
Warranty does not include freight cost to and from the factory or inspection fees, these costs are the responsibility of the customer. Negligence, misuse or accidents by the customer will void the warranty.
Due to the crafted nature of many of our products, some dimensions, details and colors may vary slightly.
Care
With proper care your furniture will provide years of enjoyment and will become a family heirloom. Maintain a humidity controlled environment. Your home should be kept in the 35% to 45% humidity range to prevent warping, cracking and excessive expansion and contraction.
Avoid placing your furniture in continued direct sunlight or a direct heat source such as furnace ducts or radiators.
Clean with water using a soft sponge or cloth. Dry immediately with a soft cloth. Avoid polish that contains any silicones.
