Assembly of your new Home and Timber hardwood table is pretty straightforward; although, we do not recommend attempting it by yourself.  Solid hardwood can be very heavy. Because of this, we strongly recommend having help.

What you will need

8x ½” nuts + 1x per support leg- included*
8x washers + 1x per support leg- included*
½” Socket Wrench
Blankets

* nuts and washers are threaded onto the table legs.

Step One

Leg Table Setup | Step One | Home and Timber

  1. Lay down a blanket or padding in your desired location.
  2. Lap the table top down on the blanket so the bottom of the table faces upwards.
  3. One at a time, place the top of the table let on to the bottom of the table top so the the threaded screws enter the holes in the mounting plate.
  4. Hand thread and tighten a washer and nut on each post bolt.
  5. Use a ½” socket wrench to tighten each nut onto each post bolt.**
  6. Repeat until all table legs have been installed.
  7. Carefully flip the table. You will want to avoid using the table legs to support the table as it flips.
** Be Careful to not over tighten the nuts as it can result in the loosening of the post bolts over time.

Step Two - Optional Support Leg Installation

Leg Table Setup | Step Two Support Leg | Home and Timber

  1. Pull open the table to expose the center mounting plate(s).
  2. Reaching under the table, insert the threaded screw into the center hole of the mounting plate.
  3. Place a washer on the post bolt.
  4. Hand thread and tighten a nut on each post bolt.
  5. Use a ½” socket wrench to tighten each nut onto each post bolt.**

Center support legs should always be used when the table length exceeds 100" or any extensions are self stored. Failure to install the center support leg during these times of use can result in sagging and slide failure.

** Be Careful to not over tighten the nuts as it can result in the loosening of the post bolts over time.
